There is no sensor taking the battery temperature (This can be misleading due to other outside factors) Temperature is taken by first sending a signal through the battery to measure resistance, another signal is sent for measuring battery capacity, then another signal to measure actual charge and consumption rate. After all of these parameters are taken in consideration the temperature coefficient is determined automatically within 2 degree accuracy.
 After the calculation, a charge is sent to the battery according to the need at that given time. A pulse is sent first to clean ions stuck in the plates then a steady voltage is applied.
